Joyce M. Taute

Joyce M. Taute, age 62, of Quincy, died on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:45 AM in Blessing Hospital. She was born on October 21, 1956 in Quincy, the daughter of Paul & Virginia (Cramsey) Windoffer. She was a graduate of Payson Seymour High School. She married Larry Taute on September 29, 1979 in St. Brigid Catholic Church. He survives.

Joyce worked at Mercantile Bank for 38 years and then later for People’s Prosperity Bank. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Joyce enjoyed camping and fishing. Her greatest love was time spent with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Brian Taute of Quincy, Erin Huber and her husband Randy also of Quincy; and Melissa Hackamack and her husband Lucas of Taylor, MO.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Breanne Taute, Riley Taute; Cassidy Huber and Courtney Huber.
SIBLINGS: Mary Jo Martin and her husband Bob; Ann Harness; Jim Windoffer and his wife Jane; Dave Windoffer and his wife Linda; Becky Harris and her husband Stan.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings: Don Windoffer and Kay Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 9:45 at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blessing Cancer Center.

    Larry and family. My your loss. It was a privilege for me to team with Joyce for nearly 30 years in the workplace. She had a tremendous work ethic, sense of humor, and left no doubt as to her love of her family. We share your grief, and toast her legacy.

    What a sad day and loss for her close family and for our extended family. We will certainly miss her wit and wonderful personality. We know she suffered too much and know she is smiling down on us now.
