Joyce LaVon Warning
Joyce LaVon Warning, age 78, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She was born on November 2, 1944 in LaBelle, MO.
Joyce was a housekeeper working at the Comfort Inn for many years. Previously, she had also worked as a waitress at local restaurants. Joyce was of the Baptist Faith. She loved to read, play Yahtzee and Bingo. Joyce also enjoyed puzzles, especially crossword puzzles, watching westerns and Wheel of Fortune.
Joyce is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Kevin Warning (Becky) of Quincy; Wayne ‘Vernie’ Warning, Jr. (Tina) of Fowler; Angie Ballard (Daryl) of Mendon, and Cassie Warning-Phon (Jennie) of Dallas, TX.
GRANDCHILDREN: Mason Warning, Sara Warning, Michael Hornung, Jennifer Sherwood, Ashley Orr (Jeremy); Christopher Robertson (Danielle), Alisha Peters (Josh), Skylar Phon and Rory Phon.
SIBLINGS: Stevie Dillinger and Ronnie Dillinger
Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Lair and Nellie (McChristy) Dillinger, siblings: Wayne Lair, Sharon Glasgow, and Tommy Dillinger and her long time companion Carl DeVerger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Durham Cemetery, Durham, MO. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living Activities Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
