Joseph T. Hildebrand
Joseph T. Hildebrand, age 75, of Quincy, died on Friday, October 4, 2024, in Quincy Family and Senior Living. Joe was born in Quincy on November 8, 1948 a son of Theodore J. Hildebrand and Virginia (Zanger) Hildebrand.
He married Maria Moral on May 14, 2004, and she survives.
Joe was a graduate of St. Francis Grade School and Christian Brothers High School. He was of the Catholic faith.
Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He loved animals, especially dogs and birds. He raised several macaws, parrots and Jack Russell Terriers.
Survivors also include his sisters, Judy (John) Williams of Colorado Springs, CO; Phyllis (Wayne) Brinkley; Pat (Don) Winking; and Connie (Skip) Stevens all of Quincy.
Two stepchildren, Melissa Contreras and Jorge Contreras; and two step-grandchildren, Sofia and Camila. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew at birth.
Private Graveside services with military honors are planned. Cremation rites have been accorded. Service arrangements are with Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Humane Society.
