Joshua Charles Werner
Joshua Charles Werner, age 31, of 3907 Halfpap Lane, Quincy, died on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 5:33 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1983 in Moberly, MO, a son of Donald “Chuck” & Debra L. (Triplett) Werner.
He was a member of River of Life Church. He was “blessed and proud to say so”! Joshua looked forward to attending church services, worshipping, singing and quoting his favorite scripture from Joshua 6:20.
Joshua was a real social butterfly. When he was out and about he greeted people enthusiastically, introducing himself and saying something nice to everyone he met. Joshua was a happy, good-natured young man. He treasured his Mom’s artwork, and he saved her doodles in a scrapbook that he adored. Joshua loved writing, playing Wii and watching movies, and with his terrific memory, memorized his favorites.
He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Debra Werner of Quincy; a brother Jared Werner and his wife Megan of Ft. Campbell, KY. Multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the River of Life Church by Rev. Gary Wallace. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the Gift of Hope. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Joshua left a special place in my heart. He used to come into our office with his parents and he lit up our lobby with his smile and his kindness toward everyone! He would always compliment my typing at the computer and ask me to teach him how to do it! I was always in awe of how happy he was! will never forget him. What a beautiful soul. I am sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege of visiting with Joshua at auctions when I worked for Cornerstone. He was a delightful young man and am sure will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Deena Kroeger
So sorry for your loss. I will always remember his smile. And he always knew my name. He is now sleeping with the angels.
“Blest and Proud to Say.” Your resounding affirmation of your faith in God is something we all would be well-served to remember. Rest in the peace of God’s presence. God speed mom and dad as you celebrate the life of the wonderful young man your son was.
Chuck and Deb, So sorry to hear about Josh; keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
