I was unble to attend Joe’s visitation & funeral, but I want you all to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. This is a difficult time for you all. You rejoice that Joe’s struggle is over, but you grieve for the hole that has been left in your life. May your faith in God, the knowledge that you will see Joe again and the support of family and friends get you through this difficult time.

I worked with Joe at my first job after college and besides being a great leader, he was a great man. I am happy that I was able to get to know Joe as a friend and colleague.

Amie, Nate and Olivia, I’m so sorry for your loss. Although Joe and I had lost touch and not communicated much in the last few years, I would like you to know that I greatly respected Joe and he meant a great deal to me. I spoke of Joe often and his courageous battle. I don’t believe in my 49 years on this earth I have met a more sincere and personable man. Joe was always willing to help out when needed and always ready to listen when I needed an ear. Your husband and father was a fantastic soul on this earth and the world is a bit darker without his presence. He will truly be missed. God bless you and keep you in your time of sorrow.
