My heart breaks for you all. You all have a little guardian angel now and even though I am sure you would like to just have him here, know that god needed him too.

Joe and family,
Johnathon has been in my thoughts the last 2 weeks. Although I have not been at SLCH, I was getting regular updates on his status. On Sunday I went to church ( a rareity!) and offered the mass for Johnathon, for whatever that is worth. I will never understand in this lifetime why innocent children, like Johnathon, are made to endure such illness and unfairness in their lifetimes. I can only hope that wherever he is now there are baseballs, transformers, Pepsi Throwbacks, and all the other things that are his favorites that he never had time to share with me.
My heartfelt sympathies I am sending to you, and praying for peace in all of your lives, the peace, that now Johnathon knows.
Love

Dear Bryant Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I was priveleged to be able to be teaching in Jonathan’s class while he was able to attend school. I’m so thankful he was well enough to come for a while so I got the opportunity to know him. He was such a sweet guy and an inspiration. My life has been blessed having known him. I’ll be praying for your family.
I do not recall ever meeting a more polite and enjoyabe young man. I have no words to replace your son, but simply to say I am very sorry for your family’s loss.
Thank you for allowing me to take care of such a beautiful angel that Jonathan is. He was a sweet soul that touched my heart. I am so sorry for you loss.
I just wanted to tell you what an impact little Jonathan had on our lives. I volunteered in the kindergarten class where my son, Justin, was a student along with Jonathan. Jonathan struck me as special since day one. He was always so well behaved, sweet, and smart. He always had such a fun, happy disposition. Jonathan was in several grades with Justin throughout their education at Ellington. Once the boys went to Baldwin, they were in different sections. I’m writing to just tell you that Jonathan holds a special place in my heart. I know your loss is great, but I hope it helps to comfort you knowing this little boy had an impact on others whose lives he touched with his smile. Take care! ((((HUG))))
