Johnnie E. Walters, age 66, of Augusta, died on Monday, January 8, 2024 in his home. He was born on May 18, 1957 in Atlanta, GA, the son of John and Emma Ruby (Cullers) Walters. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Augusta.

Johnnie liked fishing and bible study. He also loved his animals and was a junk collector.

He is survived by:
HIS SISTER: Bessie Fulmer of Columbus.
A dear friend who he considered as his sister: Nancy Means of Golden.
NEPHEWS: Larry Wade, Jr. and Clifford Wade.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, a son J.R. Walters, a brother: Larry Wade, Sr. and a nephew John Davis Wade.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
