John Henry Stover
John Henry Stover, age 81, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in the Home. He was born on April 11, 1937 in Hannibal, MO the son of Arthur Henry and Martha Louise (Fitzpatrick) Stover. He married Marylou Taylor on September 26, 1959. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2012.
Mr. Stover was a machine operator for the E.L. Smith and Sons Co. for 31 years. He served in the United States Army and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Debbie Stover; Christine Stover and John Paul Stover all of Quincy.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Chad Michael Stover; Brittney Ferdig and her husband Zack; Chase Seiz and Connor Seiz.
TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Bella and Luke Ferdig.
ONE BROTHER: Lawrence Edward Stover and his wife Elnora along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Elizabeth Ann Stover and Mary Virginia Stover.
Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will take place in Greenmount Cemetery at a later date.
Debbie, Christine and John Paul, I am so sorry about the loss of your father. He is now pain free and enjoying a reunion with family and friends. My condolences to all of you and your families.
