John Guthrie Linton
John Guthrie Linton, 69, Quincy, Illinois, passed away at his home from natural causes on July 16th, 2019.
He was born July 26, 1949 in Madison, Wisconsin to Thomas and Jean (Guthrie) Linton; he graduated from Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and enlisted in the Army, serving as an electrical technician. John had a variety of work interests and was most proud of his health care education as a radiologic technician. He met his long time partner and moved to Quincy, where he resided for over 10 years. In his adult years, John was a gentle soul who loved to tinker with electronics and was especially known for his fondness for cats.
He is survived by his sisters Diana (Gerry) Keuper and Mary Pat (Emery) Kleven and brothers David (Sylvia) Linton and Richard. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his partner Joyce A. Jones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.

So sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was always around growing up and was always the photographer for all of our family events. We were always fond of John and will miss him. He was a good man.
