John E. Hay, age 54, of 502 Wisherd Dr., Quincy, died on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Blessing Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on September 12, 1958 in Strausburg, PA, a son of Frew & Ida Hay. He married Jo Ellen (Mohes) Seig on December 31, 1984. She survives.

John was a member of Faith Mission Out-Reach Church. He loved the outdoors and working with his hands.

In addition to his wife, Jo Ellen, he is survived by four step-sons, Larry Seiz, Jr., Gene Seiz, David Seiz and Gerald Seiz, all of Missouri; one step-daughter, Angelad Morell of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
