John B. “Bud” Johnson

John B. “Bud” Johnson, age 90, of 3020 Cabot Road, died on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on October 22, 1927 in Quincy, the son of Carroll and Edith (Soebbing) Johnson. He married Charlotte Rees on April 30, 1960 in St. Francis Catholic Church. She survives. Bud served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Quincy College and was the Office Manager of Northeast Missouri Power Co-op in Palmyra, MO.

Bud was extremely well-read with a special interest in crime and spy novels. He was the most intelligent person most of us will ever know. In recent years, Bud followed politics and sports. In particular, Bud was a life-long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals with high expectations of them.

In addition to his wife, Bud is also survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Martha Adrian and her husband Judge Robert Adrian and Paul Johnson and his wife Wendy Johnson.
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Robert Adrian, Laura Adrian, Michael Adrian, Brinton Johnson, Bryce Johnson and Brody Johnson.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister: Mary Jane Stewart along with her husband Ben.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Church of St. Peter.
