Johann L. Rice, age 89, of the Illinois Veterans Home, died on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 3:58 A.M. in Blessing Hospital. Johann was born January 18, 1922 in Harrisburg, IL, daughter of William & Hazel (Clark) Walkington.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 9:30 AM in the All Faiths Chapel of the Illinois Veterans Home. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the services. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery with military rites conducted at the cemetery. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
