Joey Ann Collins

Joey Ann Collins, age 70, formerly of Quincy, died on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Barry Community Care Center. She was born on September 12, 1953 in Quincy, the daughter of Francis and Joanne (Rimer) Klodt. Joey Ann was a 1971 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She married Roy Joseph ‘Joe’ Collins on April 3, 1993. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2018. Joey Ann was a CNA at numerous nursing homes and with home health care services over the years. She was of the Catholic Faith. Joey Ann loved to counter cross stitch, do crossword puzzles and her houseplants. She was a very giving person who loved spoiling her nieces.

Joey Ann is survived by:
SIBLINGS: Margaret (Jim) Hagerbaumer, Mary Johnson, Therese (Ron) Epping, Cathy Donaldson and Angie Bank.
SISTER-IN-LAW: Linda Klodt
NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS: Michele, Megan, Stacy, Cheri, Bobbi, Drew, Ricky, Amanda, Courtland and Alex.
Numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Joey Ann was preceded in death by her parents and a brother William ‘Bill’ Klodt.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Joey Ann’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I loved talking up her about plants, in fact she gave me a start of a prayer plant. I think of her every day. Rest easy and hug that hubby. I’ll miss you🤗

    Joey and I have been friends since third grade at St Francis and all through high school Visited her some at Barry but not as often as I would have liked to. She was such a sweetheart and will be missed

    I am so sorry to hear about Joy’s passing. She lived next door to me when I was a kid. I lived at 331 York and she lived at 333 York. My thoughts and prayers are with you all
