JoDeanne “Jody” Allensworth Miller

JoDeanne ‘Jody’ Allensworth Miller, age 65, of Overland Park, Kansas, formerly of Quincy, IL died on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Olathe, KS. She was born on September 28, 1951, in Quincy, IL the daughter of Tom & Edith (Hankins) Allensworth. Jody was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School.

Jody was a chef throughout her career. She most recently was a chef for the Blue Valley School District in Kansas. Jody’s favorite pastime was to cook and bake for and spend time with all of her family. She also enjoyed crafts.

Jody is survived by:
CHILDREN: Robert ‘BJ’ Miller (Jenette) of Overland Park, KS; Jaime Reed (Johnny) of Quincy; Shawna Cawthon (Randy) of Quincy; Billy Cawthon (Steve) of Quincy; and Samantha Cawthon (Brendan) also of Overland Park, KS.
GRANDCHILDREN: Joci Scoville; Gregory Scoville; Christopher Gravitt (Madison); Alivia White; Steven Goodwin II; and Kaiden Goodwin
STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Alex Fahkry; Nick Fahkry; Stephanie LaVecchia; and Brittany Seljass.

BROTHER: Thomas Allensworth (Isabella)
SISTERS: Martha Dyer (LM); Erma Foster; and Jean McGinley.
Several nieces, nephews and a great niece and her family, Heather, Joey, Frankie, and J.J. and other relatives also survive.

Jody was preceded in death by her parents and her life-long companion William Edward Cawthon.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at 1:00. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Centers of America.

    Heaven got another angel. My prayers and thoughts go out to her family. Some of the best times was working with you at the patio.
