Joanne M. Stephens

Joanne M. Stephens, age 84, daughter of Virgil B. and Agnes E. (Clement) Fischer went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her home in Quincy.

She is survived by: Her children, Barbara J. Stephens; John L. (Christina) Stephens; Cynthia K. Howell; Mark A. (Tracy) Stephens; Bradley D. (Barbara) Stephens and Monte J. (Shellee) Stephens.
Brothers: Michael Fischer, James Fischer, and David Fischer. 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Patrick J. Fischer.

She was born in Quincy on July 5, 1938. Joanne was an LPN for 25 years she worked as a case manager and caregiver to the elderly. She truly loved taking care of people.
Most important to her was Jesus, family, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Dennis Thomas. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Salvation Army or Feed the Children.
