Joan M. Boden

Joan M. Boden, age79, of the Sunset Home, formerly of 407 Locust, died on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Blessing Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1932 in Quincy the daughter of Lewis H. &* Marcella (Dopheide) Spilker. She married Chester C. Boden on September 8, 1951 in Houston, MO. He survives. Joan worked at the Sunset Home as a Med. Nurse. She also had worked as a home healthcare aid for several agencies in the area. Joan was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Eagles and Rocky Point.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
FOUR SONS: Larry Boden, Jerry Boden and his wife Pamela, Roger Boden and Bobby Boden and his wife Stephanie all of Quincy.
FOUR DAUGHTERS: Margaret Stump and her husband Marion, Kathy Schneider, Debora Helmers and Tina Henaifesh and her husband Nasser all of Quincy
DAUGHTER IN LAW: Vicki Boden of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Kim Stump, Matt Stump, Tricia Boden, Shanna Willis and her husband Dustin, Brad V. Boden, Jenessa Boden, Tammy Blair and her husband Jim, Michael Maas, Rebecca Schneider, Peggy Zorio, Richard Schneider, Chester Bowen, John T. Garrett, Dawn Hankins and her husband Josh, Marcus Tapscott, Bryan Boden and his wife Angel, Alexandria Leonard and her husband Ace, Samantha Reed, Leeza Platt, Natosha Henaifesh, Jaimse Henaifesh, Jamarr Henaifesh, Jeremiah Henaifesh, and Linzy Henaifesh, Dustin Goodwin and his wife Amanda, Nathen Boden and his wife Jill, Trista Boden and Crista Boden, Steven Baker, Brandy Boden, Brandon Boden, Kimi Gioviannia, Britney Boden and Brooke Boden.
22 Great-grandchildren also survive.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, one son Brad Boden, two sisters: Alberta Berry and Dorothy Wand and three Brothers: Lewis “Mickey” Spilker, Jr., Maurice Spilker and Jackie Spilker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 Am in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a Prayer service at 6:45. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
