Joan E. Duesterhaus

Joan E. Duesterhaus, age 82, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in her home. She was born on April 11, 1939 in Quincy, the daughter of Clarence and Neva (Leach) Conley. She married Frank J. Duesterhaus on December 27, 1956 in St. Francis Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2019. Joan was very proud of her 62 years of marriage.

Joan was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Joan is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Diana L.D. Nelson (Robert) of Rushford, MN; Frank James Duesterhaus of Anchorage, AK; and Julie Clifton (Perry) of Quincy.
ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Cameron Peters (Tabitha) of Williamsburg, VA., Robert “Dusty” Nelson of Winona, MN., Miranda Jacques (Joshua) of Rushford, MN., Malachi Nelson (Katie) of Houston, MN., Elise Ramsbottom (Doug) Apple Valley, MN., Grace Limzerwala (Jazeel) of San Francisco, CA., Josiah Nelson of Minneapolis, MN., Wesley Nelson of Mankato, MN., Rose Mason (Vincent) of Colorado Springs, CO., Zach Clifton of Loveland, Co., Collin Clifton of Quincy.
TEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Megan Peters, Anna Peters, Lily Jacques, Tierzah Jacques, Vivienne Jacques, Cooper Nelson, Violet Nelson, Scarlet Nelson, Penelope Ramsbottom and Isabelle Ramsbottom.
SIBLINGS: Eileen Dice and Joseph Conley.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, Joan was also preceded in death by siblings: Warren Conley, Clarence Conley, Violette Welchert and Francia Moser.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 9:30 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry in Quincy.
The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Joe ,Sorry to hear about Joan. She and I would stop and visit when we would be out shopping. I don”t know if yo remember the Kemners who lived across the street on 22nd Oak St. I am the oldest and there was John, Barbara and Mark.
    Joan was a sweet person . Loved to visit with her. Mary God Bless!
