Joan Bertoglio
Joan Bertoglio, age 71, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in the Sunset Home. She was born on September 22, 1950 in Quincy, IL the daughter of John and Elnora (Bartolotti) Bertoglio. She was a graduate of St. Peter Grade School, Notre Dame High School and Gem City Business College. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Joan worked at Illinois State Bank. In June 1995 she was a Crew Member of the Month and in May 1996 she was Crew Member of the Year at the Bank. She was a member of the ABWA and Beta Sigma Phi. In 1985 she was picked as Outstanding Young Woman of America. Joan was a diehard Chicago CUBS fan and a Chicago Blackhawks, Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia 76’s fan. She also greatly enjoyed making and sending all of her holiday cards.
She is survived by:
A SISTER: Janet (Michael) Healy of Fulton, MO.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents.
A private graveside will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the SIU Foundation for Alzheimer’s Research or the American Diabetes Association. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Janet and Mike, My deepest condolences to you and your family. I am going to miss talking to Joanie about some of her favorite loves, FAMILY, stamping, the Cubbies and Packers. She was always a sweet person to me and my family. I am so sorry.

David Siepker is a retired RN in Ozark,MO. Patrick is in Timber Point Healthcare, Camp Point, IL. Kris is now retired from IVHQ, RN, in Qcy. I’m also retired from IVHQ. Living on Anderson Court, Qcy. Todd the youngest is in Oklahoma.
At one time I lived north of your house, then moved to 211 Anderson Court. Still a great place to live.

Sorry to read of Joan passing. She lived across from my in-laws when my mother in-law passed. She was company with fil after mil died.
Dear Janet, so sorry to hear about Joanie! She was such a kind soul! We spent a lot of time together when young and you were always included. Prayers and sympathy to you all!
John her father was our accountant for many years,
I used to visit Elnora in Irish Hills. Present were Joan’s and her sister Janet.
When Elnora moved to Bickford. I remember how glad she was to see.
She always spoke of. Janet and Joanie. I’ll miss the girls but I really miss Elnora.

Janet, sincerest condolences from our family to yours. Joan was such a sweet person to me and I am disheartened to hear of her passing. May the Lord bring you comfort at this time of sadness.
Joan was one of the sweetest people I have had the privilege to be around. I saw her at her yearly doctor appointments and I actually just thought of her a few days ago as it’s been a while since I’ve seen her. I enjoyed talking Packers ans Cubs with her.
