Jimmie Earl Walker
Jimmie Earl Walker age 77, of 614 Payson in Quincy died on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2:53 p.m. in his home. He was born August 25, 1934 in Farber, MO a son of Cole and Maude (Bowen) Walker.
His wife, Catherine Monzo preceded him in death on December 1, 2007.
Jimmie was an over the road truck driver prior to retiring.
He served in the U.S. National Guard.
Jimmie was an avid coin collector, and liked to go fishing and hunting. He knew a little about everything and could repair just about anything. The time he spent with his family, playing cards, joking and laughing was his greatest joy.
Survivors include his children, Jim, Julie, Lorie and her husband Eddie, Linda and her husband Mike, Lisa, Larry, Billy, Bobby and his wife Sharon;
Grandchildren, Brittany, Liane, Brandon, Amanda, Matthew, Heavenly, William, Jr. Bobbi, Angelina and Katie;
2 Great-Grandchildren, Julius and Issabella;
A brother, John (Helen) Walker of Chicago and numerous nieces and nephews survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters Margie and Patsy Ann and a brother, Cole Walker.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the family.
