Jessie M. Knuffman
Jessie M. Knuffman, age 69, of Quincy, died on Monday, May 25, 2020 in Blessing Hospital.
She was born on April 26, 1951 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of Dr. Shelby and Mary (Finley) Gamble. She married Kenneth Knuffman on March 17, 1979.He preceded her in death on July 4, 1995.
Jessie was a 1969 graduate of Quincy Senior High School. She was of the Christian Faith.
Jessie loved her family and spent as much time with them as possible. She was always the life of the party and never missed the opportunity to join in on Family Game Time. Her family always looked forward to her unique gifts, almost as much as she enjoyed giving them. If you ever needed a gadget, Jessie probably had it. Holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, were her most favorite times to decorate and host get-togethers with family and friends. You could always count on her decorations to be over the top, but in her mind, there was no such thing as “too much”.
Jessie was always up for a trip with her family to Panama City Beach, Florida, where she would also meet up with her Bestie Linda to share salad and fruit. Jessie was spoiled rotten by her loving fiancé John. The two of them loved spending their time traveling, dining out, watching and naming their feathered friends and binge watching tv. Their fur baby Sam Pita was always there to comfort and entertain her.
Jessie also took joy in exercising and leading her “Pool Pals” in the Hokey Pokey and celebrating the groups’ birthdays. She also looked forward to the monthly dinners and laughs and reminiscing with the Class of 69er’s group! Her fun spirit and infectious laugh will be missed and remembered by all who were blessed enough to know her.

Jessie was a very sweet and unique individual. In my 33 years at Blessing Hospital I saw Jessie many times and we always had a good conversation. She was so full of life and joy. I bumped into at a garage sale 3 or 4 years ago and you guessed it–she was buying some Christmas and Halloween decorations.
To Tammy and the rest of the family, you have my deepest sympathy. She will definitely be missed.
This was very sad news to hear. I worked with Jessie for many years at Blessing. She was dedicated to the field of EEG and sleep studies, bringing several new modalities to our community. She was a kind and caring person, full of life and laughter. She will be missed.
I was so sorry to hear of Jesse’s passing. In my work at Blessing I would interact with Jesse on usually weekly basis and she always managed to brighten my day each and every time we spoke. I know she will be missed by so many friends and especially her family. We have lost a truly loving individual we should all strive to be.

Oh Tammy and family, my heart breaks at this news! She was such a wonderful person that I had the pleasure to know as a young woman coming into the medical field as an RN, She was always so helpful and always willing to help me learn about the respiratory field. I again was able to reconnect when I helped with a number of Relays For Life with the American Cancer Society. I pray that God grants you strength in the days, weeks, months ahead and that He provides you with his nourishing love. Hold you memories close and cherish them. My very deepest condolences.
My heartfelt condolences go to Jesse’s family and friends. She will be missed by all.
