Jerry Robert “Moose” Mudd

Jerry Robert “Moose” Mudd, age 57, of Quincy, died on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 4:35 PM in Timber Point Healthcare Center. Jerry was born on September 7, 1959 in Quincy a son of Robert L. and Virginia “Ginny” (Wellman) Mudd.

Moose was a 1977 graduate from Quincy High School. He had formerly worked at Sparks & Weiwel, FIM, Trinity Industries, and as a handyman for Jim Shelton until his illness. He enjoyed fishing, playing darts, bowling, video games and visiting with his many friends.

He was of the catholic faith.

Survivors include his Mother, Virginia “Ginny” Mudd, of Quincy, A Sister, Melissa Patterson and her fiancée Jeff Booher of Quincy. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Mudd, a sister, Jenita P. Stephens, maternal grandparents: Robert and Cecilia Wellman, paternal grandparents: Rodney and Rose Mudd, two uncles: Tom Mudd and Charlie Mudd.

The family would like to thank the Blessing Hospice staff and Timber Point Healthcare Center staff.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends and family are invited to the graveside services. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Hospice. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

    I was saddened to her of your families loss. I always enjoyed my times around Jerry. I know that the thoughts and prayers of many are with you.
