Jerry Lee Bessling
Jerry Lee Bessling age 60, Quincy, died on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10:04 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. Jerry was born January 3, 1954 in Quincy.
He most recently had worked as a groundskeeper at Woodland Cemetery. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Jerry was of the Catholic faith. He was an honest, loving and caring person. He was an expert at putting together model race cars, airplanes and military vehicles. Jerry was also a talented guitarist and he loved music.
Survivors include: his longtime companion, Carrie Hicks; a dear friend, Rusty Rawson; amd a sister-in-law, Linda Bessling all of Quincy.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jack Bessling.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veteran’s Home with military honors. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
