Jerry L. Sprague

Jerry L. Sprague, age 78, of the Sunset Home, formerly of 726 South 6th, died on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in the Home. He was born on March 14, 1941, the son of Loren and Francis (Campbell) Sprague. He attended Quincy High School. He married Judy Young on July 7, 1962. Jerry was the manager of several gas stations in West Quincy over the years. He was of the Christian Faith.

Jerry had many varied interests. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. He was a fan of the Cardinals. Jerry also liked coin collecting, watching American Pickers, country music, NASCAR, word-search puzzles and family get-togethers. His favorite restaurant was the Village Inn. Among his family and friends, Jerry was always known as a prankster and a jokester.

He is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Kelly Sprague and his significant other Lisa Miller and Sherry Platz.
EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN: Michael Sprague, Donald Sprague and his wife Crystal; Ashley Hess and her husband Travis; Jerrica Roth and her husband Kevin; McKenzie Shrader and her husband Chance; Chandler Platz and his wife Shelby; Brennan Platz-McColez and Breyer Neil
SIX GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Michiah, Leland, Lucy, Clay, Mowgli and Hollis.
TWO SIBLINGS: Jim Sprague and Connie Womeldorff
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Marian Sprague and Mildred Killday.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Shiloh Cemetery near Plainville. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.

    Sherri and family, you need to pull together and be there 4 each other. I lost dad 2 yrs ago. It doesnt go away. Or get easier it just gets manageable.. Stay close to Jesus and Hell help you. Love Sherri
