Jeffrey Mark Humphrey
Jeffrey Mark Humphrey, 52, of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Quincy, IL passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014. Jeff was born November 24, 1961 in Quincy to James T. and Judith (Harter) Humphrey. He graduated from Quincy High School and Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. He married Cynthia Ann Lill on December 30, 1989; they recently divorced.
Jeff’s life revolved around his children. Some of his last thoughts were to tell his children that he “loved them with all his heart and soul; and his love for them and their Mom was always the most important thing in his life. They are going to be great, wonderful, loving people when they grow up. They should work hard to stay close to family; especially each other. The same goes for friends. Make as many as you can. Be a good and helping friend. Show love and support to your family and friends whenever you can. Have an idea clearly in your mind of family and friends you know and can count on when you need help, no matter what the situation is. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Always remember what I taught you about being honest and giving people more than they expect whenever possible. Believe in yourself and all the good you can be and do. I love you now and forever. Dad”
Jeff is survived by his three children, Jeffrey, Jessika and Jacob Humphrey (Greenwood, IN); his mother Judith Kent (Quincy, IL); his father James T. (Suzanne) Humphrey (Davenport, IA), three brothers James S. (Linda) Humphrey (Blue Grass, IA); Jon A. (Rose) Humphrey (Galva, IL) and Joshua J. Humphrey (Glen Arbor, MI); aunt Linda (Dave) Carper (Quincy, IL); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends; Don and Gail Sink; Larry and Marty Schmalz; Dwayne Doles all of Greenwood, IN and Alan Saeger (Quincy,IL).

I will miss this funny chap – he was a great friend while I was studying in the US at SIU-C. May he rest in peace. (Melbourne, Australia)
Deepest Sympathy. Your family are all in our thoughts and prayers.
I hope you know, Jim and Suzanne, how very much we love your family. We share your sorrow and pray that God would strengthen all of you.
Our sincerest the loss of your son ,brother, and father.May God be with all of you.
I don’t have the words to express to the family. There aren’t words to make things better. I agree with Jim…ask for help, don’t ever feel like you’re alone and things are helpless because that’s simply not true. Jeff will be missed greatly! I wish I could be there to support the family and say rest in peace to my dear cousin. All our love…Linn, Jaime, Chanel & Tyler
