Jeff was family oriented, he dearly loved, and was so very proud of his kids. As he was looking ahead to retiring in a few years, he had plans to buy a pick-up truck and along with his son, Nick, use his skills as a handyman to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

Jeff was an avid sportsman and a Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved traveling, especially to warm destinations. He was known for his meticulously cared-for yard, he truly loved doing yardwork and landscaping.

In addition to his wife Jill, survivors also include his daughter, Brooke Burgess of Nashville, TN and son, Nick Burgess of Quincy. His mother-and-father-in-law, Bill and Sandy Fessler of Quincy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff Fessler and his husband Jamey Young of Shanghai, China; Amy Derrick of Quincy; Todd Fessler and his wife Diane of Seattle, WA; two nieces; Claire and Emme Fessler of Seattle.
Many loving friends, and aunts and uncles also survive.

To the entire Burgess family you all have our deepest sympathy. A friend of his at Q.N.D. & when he would come into QMG for his job we always had to laugh & remember back to crazy things at Obert’s farm. RIP
