Jeanine M. Johnson

Jeanine M. Johnson, age 71, of Quincy, died on Monday, April 12, 2021 in her home. She was born on December 15, 1949 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Charles and Marguerite (VonderHaar) Dinkheller. She was a graduate of St. Francis Grade School and Quincy Notre Dame High School. She married John Johnson on May 14, 1971 in Quincy. He survives.

Mrs. Johnson worked as a secretary for the Quincy Public School System for 21 years. She was of the Catholic Faith.

Jeanine volunteered with the Sister City Commission and with the Quincy Service League. She treasured spending time with her family and friends, especially attending activities for her three grandsons. She enjoyed entertaining at home and was famous for her cheesy potatoes and chocolate chip cookies. Not a fan of the cold weather, Jeanine would always look forward to hot sun-shiny days.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
TWO SONS: Jeff Johnson (Anne) of Chicago, IL; and Joshua Johnson (Breanna) of Quincy.
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Charlie Johnson, Benjamin Johnson and Elijah Johnson.
BROTHER: Kevin Dinkheller
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents and a brother David Dinkheller.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Hospital Foundation for Hospice or to the Quincy Medical Group Cancer Center.
