Jason Cole Harvey, age 16, of the Walter Lawson Children’s Home, Loves Park, IL, son of Tanya & Bryon Harvey of Quincy, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Blessing Hospital, Quincy. He was born on November 9, 1997 in Quincy, a son of Bryon & Tanya (Wiemelt) Harvey.

Jason liked listening to music, and his brother and sister always looked forward to their visits with Jason in Loves Park.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Abbey Harvey and his brother Reece Harvey, both of Quincy; his maternal grandparents Jerry & Shelley Wiemelt of Quincy; and his paternal grandmother Norma Harvey of LaBelle, MO; aunts and uncles, Travis Wiemelt of Quincy, Clark Harvey of Hannibal, MO, John (Sherri) Harvey of Quincy, Grace (John) Golden of Knox City, MO, Paul (Rachel) Harvey of LaBelle, MO and many cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ralph Harvey.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Chris LeFever. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be made to the Jason Harvey Memorial Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
