Janice Louise Gibson, age 82, of Quincy, died on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 28, 1941 in Quincy, the daughter of Everett and Margaret Gallaher.

She especially loved walking to her work at various nursing homes. She retired from Sycamore Health Care. Jancie loved her dogs, especially her rat haired terrier, “Baby” and her pit bull “Hercules”.

Janice was not one to stay mad long. She loved her family. She would never say no if she could help someone in need.

Janice is survived by her children: Lloyd Griggs, Kenny Griggs, Danny Griggs, Tammy Raper, Tina Walker, Cathy Hogan, Bobby Griggs, Harry Gibson, Lyle Gibson and many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many siblings, nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
