Janice Lee Hoener

Janice Lee Hoener, age 72, of Quincy, died on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at home while in the loving arms of her daughters. She was born on July 26, 1945 in Cincinnati, IL, the daughter of John and Caroll (Augspurg) Robertson. She was 1963 graduate of Quincy High School. Janice worked at Harris Corp. in Quincy. She then worked for several years for Texas Instruments while living in Texas. Upon her retirement and moving back to Quincy, Janice worked for Swiss Colony in Hannibal. Janice was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Jan loved shopping and socializing. She enjoyed gardening, especially working with her flowers. Jan’s hobbies included cooking, baking, and collecting cookbooks. Jan dearly loved being involved with her family’s activities. She was never one to stay at home.

The family would like to thank her fellow residents at Harvest Hills for their friendship, the staff of the Blessing Hospice and also Lynn Niewohner for all of the care and support given to Janice.

Janice is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS: Kelly Bennett and her husband Randy of Holland, MI and Lori Davis and her husband Craig of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: David Bennett and his wife Chastity of Clemmons, NC and Adam Bennett of Holland, MI; Hunter Maynard and Autumn Maynard of Quincy.
STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Cooper Davis, Parker Davis and Elizabeth Davis all of Quincy.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Rylee and Makenzie Bennett of Clemmons, NC and Emma Bennett of Wilmington, OH.
TWO SISTERS: Peggy Newman and her husband Richard, of Quincy and Buddy Jones and her husband Dick of Canton, MO.
Several nieces and a nephew also survive.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carolyn, in infancy, and a nephew.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Senior Center.

    My deepest sympathy to all of you. Your mom and I knew each other from grade school on. She was a very sweet and I was so glad that she made it to our last class reunion.
