Janice Kaye (Sprague) Wigfall

Janice Kaye (Sprague) Wigfall age 71, of Quincy died on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1:45 p.m. in Timber Point Healthcare Center in Camp Point. Janice was born on October 15, 1946 in Quincy, IL a daughter of William E. and Esther (Spencer) Sprague.

Janice had worked as a senior marketing representative for Larson Marketing Co in Milwaukee, WI for many years prior to her retirement. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and had attended business school courses related to her work. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Janice loved antiquing, it was one of her favorite things to do. She will be remembered as a wonderful and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her constant companion and friend, Sandy Olson of Quincy; her beloved God-Daughter, Veronica “Mimi” Martinez and her Grand God Daughter, Tatiana McBride; her sister, Betty Ann Rollins, and her husband Luther of Quincy; Kent D. Sprague and his wife Gracie of Los Angeles, CA; and Marvin N. Sprague and his wife Katherine of Springfield, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, also survive.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Wigfall, four brothers, Charles, William, Jr., Rev. Donald and Robert Sprague.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Orville B. Jones, Jr. Private inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. There is no visitation, but family and friends are invited to the memorial service.     We were sorry to read about the passing of your sister, Janice. We send you are sincere condolences. Also, condolences extended because we note that you he lost other brothers and sisters.

    I had the privilege of meeting Janice and Sandy 3 years ago and have been in my life since. Janice touched my heart with her kindness and wit. Heaven gained a special angel on Valentine’s Day. I will miss my friend. Prayers to all that loved this unique and loving woman.
