Janet Marion Wiewel

Janet Marion Wiewel age 58, of 820 North 24th St. Quincy died on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 4:58 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born October 10, 1954 in Quincy, a daughter of Raymond and Ermilla (Peters) Genenbacher. She married Edward J. Wiewel on March 15, 1975 in Quincy, and he survives.

Janet had worked as an LPN at Good Samaritan Home, and was a homemaker.

She was a 1971 graduated of Payson Seymour High School.
Janet was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
She loved her books.

In addition to her husband, Edward, survivors include her children, Jennifer Westberg and her husband Andrew of Noblesville, IN; Joseph Wiewel and his wife Victoria of Quincy;
Grandchildren, Rebekah and Jared Westberg, and Lucas Wiewel.
Brothers and Sisters, Linda Leasman of Mendon; Sharon Zanger of Quincy; Eugene Genenbacher and his wife Mary of Liberty, IL; Roger Genenbacher and his wife Susan of Sutter, IL: Joan Koetters and her husband Jim also of Liberty.
Brothers and Sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to give special thanks to nieces Cindy Paul & Karen Holtschlag for their extra help and support through Janet’s illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation, but family and friends are invited to the services. The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Quincy Public Library to support the Digital Media Library or to the K of C Mass for Shut-In’s. www.dukerandhaugh.com
