Janet M. Fox

Janet M. Fox age 62, of Fowler, died on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Blessing Hospital. She was born July 31, 1951 in Keokuk, IA; a daughter of Marion “Smokey” L. and Delores L. (Belt) Fox. Janet was raised by her grandparents, Drew and Beulah Roberts.

She married Lee A Berhorst in the LaBelle Baptist Church, LaBelle, MO on October 26, 1974.

Janet had worked at Electric Wheel, Gully Trucking Co. and at Maas Machine & Pattern Shop in Quincy from 1998 until her retirement.
Janet was a 1969 graduate of Keokuk Senior High School, and she graduated from Keokuk Community College in 1972.

She was a member of the Church of St. Peter.

Janet was an avid reader, she especially enjoyed history and listening to music from the 1960’s.

Survivors include her sister, Sharon Campbell of Moline, IL; a brother, Dale Fox of Keokuk, IA; a half-brother and half sisters, Dallas (Vickie) Benjamian of Lincoln, NE; Patty Booth of Marion, IL; Karen Merkel of Arnold, MO and Marian Meyer of New York. Step-Mother, Joyce Fox of Granite City, IL. Brother in law, Paul Pennock of Kansas; nieces and nephews including, Hope (Derrick) Bryan, Alex Ramos all of Fremont, OH; Troy Campbell of Rock Island, IL and Richard Campbell of Keokuk, IA; a dear friends, Tom and Julia Maas and their family.

Janet was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and a sister, Brenda Pennock.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation is this evening (Tuesday) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE or to the Church of St. Peter.

    I am so sorry to hear about Janet. We used to work together at Electric Wheel. I have tried to find her for a long time..I am so sorry I didn’t get to talk to her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
