Janet A. Plowman, age 76, of 422 North 5th, died on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in her home. She was born on November 27, 1938 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Berkenbile) Lummer.

Janet worked at several places over the years but most recently at C & M Auto Sales and repair and at Jones Garage.

Janet enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and traveling. She liked to play the lottery and go to the casino. Janet also greatly enjoyed her family dinners.

She is survived by her long time companion Charles R. Jones of Quincy.
FOUR CHILDREN: Donald (Nancy) Grant of Quincy, Terry (Melvin) Godman of Quincy, Penny Maggart (Danny Daugherty) of Mendon, and Carla Plowman of Quincy.
STEP-DAUGHTER: Brenda (Dean) Meyer of Salisbury, MO
GRANDCHILDREN: Jennifer Grant, Jason Grant, Michael (Jennifer) Goehl, Brian (Kimberlea) Goehl, David (Amanda) Maggart, Keith (Jessica Anderson) Maggart, Stephanie (Justin) McKinney, Tara (Steven) Goodwin.
STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Nathaniel (Elizabeth) Meyer; Jeremy (Jeny) Meyer and Alex (Samantha) Meyer.

SISTERS: Lois (Bill) Bryan and Frances Meyers
BROTHERS: Ralph Lummer and Loren (Nancy) Lummer

Numerous other relatives including great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, a son Ricky Grant, sisters: Catherine Bence and Doris Finley and a brother Arthur “Sonny” Lummer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday Morning from 11:00 until the time of the services at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
