Jane Meyer

Jane Meyer, age 58, of the Sunset Home, formerly of 3801 North 84th St., Fowler, died on Monday, October 27, 2014 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on January 20, 1956 in Quincy the daughter of Robert & Frances (Mast) Meyer.

Jane worked at the Community Rehabilitation Center from 1976 – 1995 and at the Industrial Support Services from February 1995 to January, 2009.

Jane was an avid bowler for Special Olympics and was on the Leo Zanger Bowling Team. She was a member of the St. Anthony Home Extension and the Red Hat Association at Sunset. Janie was the St. Louis Cardinals’ #1 Fan.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, working on plastic canvas, watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals’ games and spending time with nieces & nephews.

She is survived by:

She was preceded in death by her parents

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 9:15 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a fund to be established in her memory.

    Sorry I couldn’t be there with you at this time. I know how important friends and family are at a time like this. I was grateful to have been able to spend a morning with Janie on one of my last visits home. She was happy and cheerful to others, not focused on her own problems.
