James Vincent “Vince” Dreier
James Vincent ‘Vince’ Dreier, age 44, of Mystic, CT, formerly of Quincy, died on June 29, 2022 in his home in Mystic, CT. He was born on November 5, 1977 in Quincy the son of Jerry and Trudy (Spilker) Dreier.
Vince attended St. Mary’s Grade School & Quincy Notre Dame High School. In 2001, Vince earned his Bachelor’s of Finance from Quincy University. A few years later, he enrolled in an accelerated nursing program & attained his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. After working as an RN, he again furthered his education receiving his Masters as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. He worked as a CRNA at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT the last five years.
Vince was a mountain bike enthusiast. He qualified for an invitation only competition to participate in the Stages Cycling Leadville 100; a 100 mile, high altitude, extreme terrain trail race in the Rocky Mountains of Leadville, CO. Vince also loved snowboarding, hiking, boating & fishing. He traveled extensively.
Relationships were important to Vince. He always made time for family & friends, all of whom know he had once walked in Keanu Reeves shoes.

HIS PARENTS: Jerry and Trudy Dreier
HIS SIBLINGS: Brian Dreier and his wife Dana and Sara Baker and her husband Deon.
NIECES AND A NEPHEW: Emily Dreier and her fiancé Colton Blanchard, Hannah Dreier, Grace Dreier, Paige Douglas and her husband Sam and Ayden Baker.
A GREAT-NIECE: Drew Louise Douglas
HIS LONG TIME COMPANION: Lindsae Raineau along with her two children: Chloe and Lilly Gehrlein.
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church. In lieu of sending a flower, please make a memorial to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Quincy Notre Dame or to the Bill Klingner Trail.
