James Robert ‘Jim’ Wagner
James Robert ‘Jim’ Wagner, age 85, of Quincy, died on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on November 2, 1937 in Mt. Sterling, IL the son of James A. & Kathrine (Herbster) Wagner. He married Jana Ruff on July 1, 1977 in St. Peter Catholic Church. She survives. Jim worked in inventory control for Harris Corp from 1957 until his retirement in 1999. Jim served in the Illinois National Guard. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Jim enjoyed working in the yard, walking reading books and listening to music. He also liked westerns and had a love for cars. He was also a die hard CUB fan and saw them win the World Series on his birthday. His greatest enjoyment was family.

CHILDREN: Theresa Hayes of Quincy, Debra Rees (Mark) of Chesterfield, MO; Steve Wagner of Canton, MO; Sandy Wilson of Quincy, Angie Frese (Ron) of Quincy, Tracy Moore of Quincy and Tim Moore of Lewisville, TX.
GRANDCHILDREN: Nathan Hayes (Whitney), Lindsey Milane (Andrew), Joe Stephenson (Cecilia), Brandon Stephenson (Ale), Jesse Stephenson, Alatha Wagner, Justin Wagner, Chase Seals, Mason Wells, Gaby Wagner, Peyton Frese, Milena Noble and Seth Moore.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Hudson and Harper Hayes, Carter Dairean, Daelyn Stephenson and Joey Stephenson, Landon and Oaklynn Milane.
A SISTER: Eleanor Logsdon
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Donald Wagner, Richard Wagner along with his wife Marilyn, George Wagner, Marge Keppner along with her husband Ed, Marilyn Wells along with her husband Joe, Betty McCune along with her husband Loren and an additional brother in law: Jack Logsdon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to Quincy Catholic Charities or to the Adams County Red Cross. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
