James R. ‘Jim’ McNary, age 60, of Quincy, died on Friday, June 24, 2022 in his home. He was born on October 22, 1961 in Quincy the son of Paul and Virginia (Freeman) McNary.

Jim was active in tractor pulling and also enjoyed to go four-wheeling. He was a big fan of Ford vehicles. He was a jokester and liked to tell one to brighten your day. He was mechanically inclined and was always willing to use his talents to help others. He also liked to travel.

He is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: James McNary II of Jacksonville, NC; Michael McNary of Quincy and Kayla McNary also of Quincy.
SIBLINGS: Mary Doellman (Ken), David McNary, Betty Ann McNary (Lonnie) and Loretta Augustine (Scott).
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Alfred McNary.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Greenmount Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
