James M. Little
James M. Little, age 65, of 225 South 48th, died on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in his home. He was born on July 16, 1950 in Quincy, IL the son of Gerald & Elizabeth (Upschulte) Little. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Quincy Senior High School. He married Mary Jo Widener on August 9, 1974. She survives. Jim was a farmer and also worked in construction. He recently worked for Mendon Township. Jim was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Jesica Huber and her husband Tony of Plainville, IL; Andrew Little and his significant other Katherine Mayden of Ashland, MO; and David Little and his wife Lindsey of Jefferson City, MO.
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Andrew and Ethan Huber.
ONE BROTHER: Gerald Little and his wife Kay of Liberty, IL
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother George Little.
Per Jim’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his grandchildren. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
I was sorry to hear of your loss . I always enjoyed my talks with Jim at the South Side Boat Club. I know that the thoughts and prayers of many are with you and I salute your veteran.

My thoughts and prayers go out the Little family during this time of loss and final goodbyes. I knew Jim when we were in school and rode the school bus together. He was a good kid back then, and I am sure he remained so throughout his adult life.My other connection to the Little family is that my parents, Frank and Elizabeth Hugenberg Mock, knew Jim’s parents through the years. Jim will live on in the memories of those who knew him and dwell on his good in this world.
