James M. Farren Jr.

James M. Farren Jr., age 57, of Quincy, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 2, 2021. James was born on May 12, 1964, in New Jersey to James “Jim” and Phyllis (Caffrey) Farren Sr. He lived in several cities but much of his life was spent in the St. Louis area. He called Quincy home for the past eleven years and has many coworkers and friends in the area.

James loved going fishing and spending time with his granddaughter.

James is survived by his father, Jim M. Farren Sr. (Andrea) of Surprise, AZ; his mother, Phyllis Farren of Beacon, NY; his daughter, Maggie Cardinale of Eatontown, NJ; his granddaughter Keira; his sisters, Maureen Butler of St. Louis, MO., and Regina Pimmel (Ted) of Bolingbrook, IL. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and step siblings also survive.

Cremation has been accorded to James. A private family graveside service will be held in Greenmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.

“May the road rise up to meet you and may the sun shine upon your face” and may you rest in eternal peace.

    Always a Kind , Outgoing soul. Enjoyed many conversations with him about the Lord his Savior and the wonderful impact finding God had on his life. So unexpected. I had just recently spoke with him. So Very, Very sorry to hear of him passing. My prayers and thoughts to his family. To his Daughter and Grand Daughter. I heard of him many of times looking forward to visiting them in New York.. He lived for the visits with them. R.I.P JAMES FARREN. May your beautiful soul R.I.P.

    I just learned of James’ passing today and it makes my heart sad that he won’t be randomly popping into my work for lunch or just a quick Hi! I pray comfort for all who knew him. And I thank God for him.
