James Lee “Jimmy Ray” Rehfeldt, Jr.

James Lee “Jimmy Ray” Rehfeldt, Jr. age 61, of 401 Elm St. Apt. #1 Quincy died on Monday, December 19, 2011 in Blessing Hospital. Jimmy Ray was born January 9, 1950 in St. Louis, MO a son of James Lee and Pauline (Roberts) Rehfeldt, Sr.

He married Sandra Marshall on October 31, 1967 in St. Louis and she survives. He was a roofer who had worked for various companies, including Robert Howell Roofing. Jimmy Ray served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he received the Bronze Star.

He was very creative and was willing to try and fix anything. In addition to his wife Sandra, survivors include his mother, Pauline Rehfeldt of East Carondelet, IL;

his five children, Michelle Conkle and her significant other, Tony Biswell of Bowen; Tammy Rehfeldt and her significant other Norman Patheal; Joshua Rehfeldt and his wife Elizabeth; James D. Rehfeldt and his significant other Rhonda Downs and Angela D. Hills all of Quincy.

Grandchildren: Trevor Conkle; Emily and Olivia Biswell; Tara, Brittany and Neven Patheal; Alden Shaleen, Jevin Rehfeldt; Jacee and Jaden Downs; Braylynn, Kelsi and Jimmy Hills;
a brother, Mark Rehfeldt and his wife Mary and a niece Mandy and her husband Brian Gebhardt. His best friend who was like a brother, Kenny Sharp of Taylor, MO also survives.

He was preceded in death by his father, his grandfather, Ewell V. Roberts and a sister, Karen P. Arendall.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Harold Bender. A memorial visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home followed by military honors by the American Legion Post #37. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
