James E. Miller

James E. Miller, age 71, of Payson, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the Illinois Veterans Home. He was born on August 22, 1947 in Bethesda MD the son of Andrew & Marion (Winterbottom) Miller, Jr. He married Roxanne Staley on November 9, 1986. She survives.

Mr. Miller worked at Knapheide Manufacturing. He was a Navy Veterans of the Vietnam War. James enjoyed researching the genealogy of his family. He liked U.S. History and the St. Louis Cardinals.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by: TWO CHILDREN: Rebecca Genslinger and her husband Chad of Fairview Heights; and Matthew Miller of Payson, IL. TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Charlotte Genslinger and Samuel Genslinger. ONE BROTHER: Phillip Miller. TWO SISTERS: Nancy Flood and Melanie Nager. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Eric and a daughter Brandee Miller.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 6:30 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 until the time of the services at 6:30 PM. Memorials may be made to the Great River Honor Flight. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
