James B. Griffin, age 74, of 214 Locust, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in his home. He was born on July 16, 1937 in Adams County, IL. Mr. Griffin worked for the Quincy Park District for many years. He served in the United States Army Reserves. James enjoyed fishing and also liked working with his hands doing his own construction work.

He is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Wanda D. Griffin, Wanda J. Watson of Custer Park, IL; Rebecca Diane Liebig and her husband Russell of Quincy; Linda VanWinsen of Payson, IL; Donald Griffin and his wife Lora of Quincy.
Numerous other relatives including 13 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, brothers, nieces, and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Joseph Watson.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at the home of Donald Griffin at 6216 Hickory Grove North. Family and Friends are invited to attend. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
