James A. ‘Jim’ Vogel

James A. ‘Jim’ Vogel, age 66, of Fowler, IL, died on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in his home. He was born on February 3, 1952 in Quincy, IL the son of Gerald & Marie (Rossmiller) Vogel. He married Andrea ‘Andi’ Brown on December 11, 1992. She survives. Jim was a lifelong farmer. He also was the owner and operator of Jim’s Handy Storage. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Outside of his family, Jim’s life was farming and his John Deere tractors.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by:
TWO CHIDREN: James A. Vogel II of Fowler, IL and Victoria A. Herrmann and her husband Brad of Mt. Zion, IL.
ONE STEP-SON: Logan D. Cox and his wife Marielisa Lopez Morales of McKinney, TX
TWO STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Amory Cox and Milo Cox
TWO SISTERS: Connie Tenhouse and her husband Alan and Carol Ridder and her husband John.
Numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    So sorry about the loss of Jim. Prayers and sympathy for his family. I went to school with Jim and grew up in the same neighborhood. RIP Jim.
