Jacqueline “Jackie” Kelley

Jacqueline “Jackie” Kelley, of St. Vincent Home, formerly of 612 North 13th in Quincy, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015 in the Home. She was born on August 12, 1935 in Quincy the daughter of Melvin & Dorothy (Wittkopf) Churchwell. She married Richard D. Kelley on June 4, 1955. Rich and Jackie met at Scotties Roller Rink in 1953. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2014.

Jackie worked for the Quincy Paper Box Co for many years. She later worked for Microenergy and then Industrial Support Services. Jackie loved canning. She liked crafts such as plastic canvas and crocheting. She was an avid collector of Tupperware. Jackie also liked bowling. When she became a resident of St. Vincent she enjoyed their many activities such as cards and bingo.

She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Michael Kelley of Quincy, Richard Kelley, Jr. and his wife Betty of Quincy and Sandra Sorrell and her husband Jim of Hanna City, IL.
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Jon Kelley, Adam Kelley and his wife Jeni, Nick Kelley and his wife Jessica, Clint Kelley and his wife Laura, Jesse Sorrell and his wife Ashley, and Jenny Kammer and her husband Patrick.
FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Nick & Connor Kelley and Caleb and Walker Kelley
TWO BROTHERS: Eugene Churchwell and his wife Lucy and Duane “Du” Churchwell and his wife Carol.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services. Family request blue jeans and casual wear at the visitation. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent Home Activities Fund.

    My sincere sympathy to Jackie’s family. So sorry for your loss. Jackie and I were classmates.
