Jack R. Klossing

Jack R. Klossing, age 68, of 1325 N. 10th Street, Quincy, died on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 8:05 a.m. in his home. He was born on September 25, 1940 in Quincy, Illinois, a son of Jake and Eddie (Sher) Klossing. He married Donna M. Klossing on September 27, 1958. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2004.

Jack worked at Electric Wheel and Gem City Accounting.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and playing baseball.

Survivors include:
ONE SON: James Klossing of Quincy;
ONE DAUGHTER: Debbie Schuerman of Quincy;
FIVE BROTHERS: Lester Klosing and Willis Klossing both of Quincy, Dick Klossing of Forrest, IL, Gene Klossing of AK, and Bobby Gene Klossing of CA;
TWO SISTERS: Mae Barnecott of AK, and Bertie Briddle of ID.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Gary, Buzz, and Kenneth Klossing, and a sister, Goldie Crowe.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. John Adams. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for HOSPICE.
