Ivan R. Beaver

Ivan R. Beaver, age 69, of Quincy, died on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Cresco, IA. He was born on November 26, 1951 in Hannibal, MO the son of Hairm and Byrl (McCullogh) Beaver. Ivan was proud of the fact that he attended the Pee Dee one room schoolhouse near Monroe City, MO. He then graduated from Monroe City High School. He married Mary Hoffman on April 5, 1974. She survives. Ivan worked at Gardner Denver, St. Mary Hospital and then retired from Walmart and Sam’s Club after 27 ½ years of service.

Ivan loved camping and to travel, especially his golf cart rides on the Florida beaches. He was a self taught handyman and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. Ivan loved his family, especially the grandkids and his dog, ‘Daisy’.

In addition to his wife, Ivan is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Matthew Beaver (Molly) of Quincy; Krista Godman (David) of Cresco, IA; Ryan Beaver (Emily) of High Ridge, MO.
ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: James Beaver, Toby Beaver, Zak Brown, Allison Brown, Kaitlyn Brown, Luke Brown, Emma Godman, Allie Godman, Lily Godman, Jacob Beaver, and Jonah Beaver.
ONE GREAT GRANDCHILD: Ryder Finney
BROTHER: David Beaver (Donna)
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church or Quincy Humane Society.

    I worked with Ivan for many years first at Walmart then at Sams… he was a great person, who always loved talking about his family. You shall be deeply missed my friend

I work with Ivan back in 80’s when Walmart was by Hy-Vee where Hobby Lobby is now! Then in 2000 we moved to New Walmart Supercenter! Ivan will be Miss by all of His Old Co-Worker’s from Walmart!     I remember Ivan very well. I enrolled him in Quincy Technical School. He was a very nice and kind man. He never forgot a face. Rest In Peace Ivan.
