INEZ H. GILL OBITUARY
Inez H. Gill, age 94, of Sunset Home, formerly of 301 N. 8th Street and the Liberty area died on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 3:55 a.m. in the Home. She was born on November 6, 1913 in Quincy, Illinois. She was a daughter of Earl B. and Clara (Reinold) Jackson, she was also raised by her step-father, Wilbur Merrill. She married Fred Gill on May 13, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He survives.
Mrs. Gill was of the Catholic faith.
She previously worked as a long distance telephone operator in Indiana for over 15 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Nancy Ann Maley and her husband Richard, of Glendale, AZ, Gary Bufford and his wife Dawn of Kankakee, IL, and David Bufford and his wife Juanita of Kankakee, IL
NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN;
A STEP-BROTHER: Bill Henry;
AND A SON-IN-LAW: Russell Bufford and his wife Beverly also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, three brothers, George, Leonard, & Harry Merrill, a half sister, Aileen Shelton, and a daughter, Phyllis A. Bufford.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Liberty.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sunset Home.
This lady was my Great Grandmother’s cousin, Berniece Fletcher. She is just as beautiful as my Grandmother, I loved her dearly and if they were as much alike in personality as in looks, you were just as blessed as I was to know her. Grandma Fletcher was unconditional in every way, I lost her in the early 80’s and she is still a very important member of our heritage, she is a classic example of love, and more people need to be like them. I hope that you do not mind my story at the time of your loss.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your grandmother, Inez.
I am a cousin on the Reinold side…Inez’s grandfather Henry Reinold was a brother to my grandfather Joseph.
