IMOGENE ZANGER OBITUARY

Imogene Zanger, age 87, of Desert Cove Nursing Center, Chandler, Arizona, formerly of 506 North 28th Street, Quincy, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Chandler, Arizona. She was born on October 17, 1920 in Quincy, Illinois, a daughter of John C. & Martha L. (Ferguson) Worley. She married Mertz G. Zanger, Jr., on April 19, 1941 in St. Brigid Rectory in Liberty, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1975.

Imogene was a member of the Church of St. Peter. She was a graduate of Quincy High School. Imogene was a clerk at Earel & Buss Drug Store from 1975 until her retirement in 1985.

Imogene was a past member of South Side Ladies Aid, Eagles Auxiliary, & Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Survivors include:
DAUGHTERS: Marsha Broemmer & her husband Jim of Chandler, Arizona & Patricia Earnst and her husband Al of Quincy;
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Jim Broemmer, Jr.& his wife Tracy, of Quincy, Kim Peters & her husband Brad, Chris Broemmer & his wife Dena all of Chandler, AZ; Rick Earnst & his wife Marla, Jeff Earnst & his wife Kim, & Laura Tournear & her husband Marlon all of Quincy;
THIRTEEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers Frederick Worley, John H. Worley, Ray Worley, Ralph Worley, & Dale Worley, three sisters, Ivy Worley, Lola Drew, & Ada Wells & a grandchild, Walter James Broemmer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home & 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy by Father Kurt Hartrich. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Desert Cove Nursing Center Activities Department, 1750 W. Frye Road, Chandler, AZ 85224.
