Hwa Sook Lair
Hwa Sook Lair, age 92, of Quincy, died on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in the Good Samaritan Home. She was born on December 3, 1929 in North Korea. She married John Lair. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1997.
Hwa enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking, drawing and decorating her house.
Hwa is survived by a daughter JinSeon Kim of Korea. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, step-children and step-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.
Cremation rites were accorded. A graveside memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Durham Cemetery in Durham, MO. There will be no formal visitation, but friends and family are welcome to attend the graveside service. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home Activities Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Hwa was a longtime, very dear friend to our Mom Corine D. Seward. They were part of a group that attended church together, shared meals, and played lots of cards. They continued some of these activities when they both moved into Good Samaritan. May Fwa rest in peace, O. Russell and Rudy Ray Seward
