Hiroko T Scobee, 87, formerly of Quincy, died on September 29,2022, in Timber Point Healthcare Center, Camp Point, IL. She was born on February 1, 1935 in Nagaski, Japan. The daughter of Takichi Tanaka and Mona Tanaka. She married John R. Scobee on July 12, 1964 at Minato-Ku, Tokyo. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2005.

Mrs. Scobee was a housewife and homemaker. She loved working in her yard, tending to her flowers. Hiroko was especially fond of using her loom weaving tapestries, household items and using her multiple sewing machines making clothes. Her greatest joy was spending time her dogs.

In addition to her husband, John R. Scobee, Hiroko was also preceded in death by her parents, Takichi Tanaka and Mona Tanaka.

Cremation rites were accorded to Mrs. Scobee. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Senior Center.
